This rare specimen features a partial upper maxilla (jawbone) with a preserved saber-tooth canine, still naturally embedded in its original rock matrix. Measuring 22 cm in length, it provides both anatomical context and geological authenticity.

Belonging to the extinct saber-toothed cat genus (Machairodontinae), these Ice Age predators thrived during the Late Pliocene to Pleistocene epoch (approx. 2–0.01 million years ago). The fossil displays curved enamel, mineralized bone texture, and excellent preservation—making it far more significant than an isolated tooth.
