Description
This exceptional fossil is the complete skull of Pachycrocuta brevirostris, the largest hyena species in history, which roamed Eurasia and Africa during the Pleistocene (approx. 0.2–2 million years ago). Renowned for their immense jaw power capable of crushing large bones, these apex scavengers played a dominant role in Ice Age ecosystems.
Measuring 50 cm in length, this specimen is superbly preserved — complete dentition, sharply defined three-dimensional cranial structure, and natural bone texture with no artificial restoration. Its visual impact is remarkable, making it suitable for both world-class private collections and museum exhibitions.
