Psittacosaurus Hindlimb & Foot Fossil – Early Cretaceous Dinosaur (East Asia)

Psittacosaurus Hindlimb & Foot Fossil – Early Cretaceous Dinosaur (East Asia)

$800.00

This is a remarkable Psittacosaurus hindlimb and foot fossil, preserved in matrix and measuring around 30 cm with rock slab. Psittacosaurus, or the “parrot-beaked dinosaur,” lived during the Early Cretaceous (~120 million years ago) and represents one of the earliest ceratopsians.

The specimen displays the well-articulated tibia, fibula, and complete foot bones, clearly showing the dinosaur’s three-toed structure. Such articulated limb fossils are rare, as most Psittacosaurus finds are either partial skeletons or isolated bones. This piece combines excellent preservation with scientific and display value.

Why is it worth collecting?

  • Rare articulated hindlimb & foot fossil of Psittacosaurus

  • Preserves tibia, fibula, and detailed toe phalanges in matrix

  • Represents Early Cretaceous ceratopsian evolution in East Asia

  • Highly aesthetic specimen suitable for both research and display
